Miles Boykin goes for 100+ yards

Miles Boykin had a big day against Ball State. He was a key part of Brandon Wimbush’s career day in the air. Outside of that 119-yard performance against the Cardinals, however, Boykin has been missing.

With one reception in each of the other two games, the star of the Citrus Bowl hasn’t been a threat. He tallied 28 yards versus Michigan and only 14 against Vanderbilt.

Despite the struggles, Boykin is set up for a great game against Wake Forest.

The Demon Deacons give up a lot of yards. One way or another, they have found ways to give up over 400 yards in all three games this season. In their loss to Boston College, they gave up over 300 yards in the air.

Wake Forest has struggled to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Between giving Wimbush time and confidence as well as time for Boykin to break loose, it could be trouble for Wake Forest.

Boykin is a talented route runner and needs a bounce-back game. Seeing how Wake Forest’s secondary struggled against Boston College, this will be a prime opportunity for Boykin to find his groove again.

Essang Bassey has been one of the leaders on the Demon Deacons defense, but will be a size mismatch against Boykin. At just 5-10, 185 pounds, if Bassey thought defending Boston College was difficult, it will be a rude awakening when he sees 6-4, 228-pound Boykin.
