JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Wide Receiver

Arcega-Whiteside has 17 receptions for 408 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Those seven touchdowns are good enough for the most for the Cardinal this year. No other Stanford player has more than three scores in 2018. He has proved to be Stanford’s biggest deep-threat playmaker thus far, averaging 24 yards per reception. He came up big against Oregon by scoring two touchdowns. Look for Arcega-Whiteside to build on this momentum against the Irish.

It will be imperative for the Notre Dame secondary that has played well this season to continue to do so against Acrega-Whiteside and find a way to neutralize him. The kid will make some catches, but the Notre Dame defense needs to find a way to avoid the big plays to him downfield.
