Final Analysis

It goes without saying, this is a huge matchup for both teams — a playoff elimination game.

Bryce Love is due for a huge breakout performance, but I’m not necessarily sure this is that game. This is the best defensive line Stanford has faced so far. Love has only accounted for 33, 125 and 129 yards in three matchups against Notre Dame and this is the best Irish defense he will have faced.

I think this game is a lot higher scoring than Vegas believes it will be. The over/under is 52, and I think it’ll be a lot more than that.

Nothing against the defenses, but two of the last three meetings have been over that 53 mark. I think the play of both quarterbacks — Costello and Book — will bring about somewhat of a shootout.

Prediction: Notre Dame 38, Stanford 34
