Yoon Closing In On Another Record

That’s right, your favorite player is closing in on another school record that will further immortalize him in Notre Dame history. Yoon has booted 49 field goals so far in his career, putting him just nine away from breaking the program record of 57 set by the kicker who cam before him, Kyle Brindza.

I’m not saying Yoon will kick nine field goals this weekend, because if he did that would not only smash the previous FBS record of seven field goals made in a game, it would mean it’s time to go back to the drawing board for our redzone offense. Putting that aside, it is another record to keep an eye on as he will most likely break it before the season ends and continue to add to his resume as one of the best kickers in Irish history.

Last week, Yoon moved into first place on Notre Dame’s All-Time scoring list, finishing the game with 322 career points — breaking the record of 320 points held by running back Allen Pinkett set in 1985.
