Aca’Cedric Ware, Running Back

Ware’s status for the game this weekend is questionable after suffering a shoulder sprain in their game against UCLA this past Saturday. However, if he does play, Notre Dame will be facing Southern’s Cal’s most formidable rushing threat.

He has 112 carries for 757 yards this season and is averaging 6.8 yards per carry. He has scored six touchdowns on the year as well. Good play on the part of Ware and the other running backs will take some of the pressure off Daniels to make every throw.

If Ware can get going early, he may be able to help Daniels build the confidence he will need to have a shot at being successful against the Notre Dame defense.
