This year’s Notre Dame football team delivered special performances and plays that helped lead them to a 12-0 record for the first time since 2012. Here are the top three best plays from the regular season.
This year’s Notre Dame football season has been a roller coaster to say the least. With all the ups and downs, the Irish still found a way to win every game and cap off a perfect regular season and likely their first College Football Playoff appearance.
Over the course of the regular season, there were many memorable moments and performances that helped turn the tide of games or directly lead to an Irish victory. It seemed like each week brought forth a new play that would prove to help shape the game and — looking back — the season.
It was almost impossible to narrow this list down to three plays. This article was originally supposed to just entail the single best play of the season, but I felt like we needed a few more slots to give recognition to a couple plays that proved to be huge this season.
Obviously, whoever is reading this will most likely disagree with my choices on this list, or at least the order in which I placed them. You could make an argument for a handful of plays to be included in the top three, and a few big plays had to be left off.
