After a win over Binghamton on Sunday afternoon, the Notre Dame women’s basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday night.

The Irish return to action on Wednesday night as they play host to Western Kentucky. After putting up 103 against Binghamton over the weekend, Notre Dame is in the full swing of things offensively. Both Abby Prohaska and Danielle Patterson should be good to go for the Irish after missing Sunday’s game.

The Irish

The Irish had one of their best games of the season on Sunday when they beat Binghamton 103-53. Things on both sides of the ball were working well for the Irish as they forced 21 turnovers by the visitors while also racking up 27 assists. Head coach Muffet McGraw was pleased with her team’s performance and felt that better defense helped spark the offense.

A big key for the Irish is to have balanced scoring once again. On Sunday, all five starters had at least 13 points. That gave them a comfortable lead in the third, which allowed the starters to sit the whole fourth quarter. With ACC play just around the corner, it’ll be important that they keep their legs fresh whenever possible.

Western Kentucky

Western Kentucky is 5-7 on the year and 1-2 away from home. That does not bode well for the visitors, as the Irish are nearly unbeatable at Purcell Pavilion. Keep an eye out for Dee Givens, who is averaging 19.6 points per game this season. She recently moved into a starting role after being named the C-USA Sixth Player of the Year last season.
