Sports gambling is legal now! Why not take advantage? Here at Slap the Sign, we’re looking at that double-digit spread in the Notre Dame football game against Clemson and saying “Take the Irish!”

I get it. It’s around the Holidays and you just blew through your savings accounts on legos, video games and Notre Dame swag. You can’t risk more money on the Irish, right?

Wrong. You can, because we will back you — well — one of you.

Here’s what we’ll do. You place the bet on Notre Dame to either win or get the backdoor cover –online or at a sports book. Tweet us (@SlapTheSign) a picture of your ticket or a screenshot of your confirmed bet — up to $100. Hashtag your tweet with #IrishPayback.

If somehow the Irish lose by more than the spread at the time your bet was placed, we will select one lucky winner who will receive a gift card (to the restaurant or retailer of your choice) equal to the money lost on the wager, again, up to $100.

This is a great deal. If Notre Dame wins, you win. If Notre Dame loses, one of you wins (or technically breaks even).

We will send the winner a DM and get all of your mailing info and gift card choice if the Irish let you down.
