The 2019 Notre Dame football schedule is filled with quality opponents.

There’s still another signing day, and the NCAA transfer portal is explosive. At this point, coaches aren’t entirely set at many programs. Spring games are months from now. The offseason has hardly begun. That makes it a perfect time to rank all of the Notre Dame football opponents for the 2019 season.

Now, obviously, there is a distinct chance that there is some change to these rankings by the time September comes around, but for now, this is how the Notre Dame schedule looks by degree of difficulty.

12. Bowling Green

To put it politely, Bowling Green had a disappointing 2018 season. The Falcons only won three games and fired their coach, Mike Jinks, mid-season. It’s now Scot Loeffler’s show. His most recent post was as Boston College’s offensive coordinator, and he is a longtime assistant of Steve Addazio. None of that seems like he’s poised to have a powerful offense in 2019. Along with that, Bowling Green was 106th in total defense in 2018. But hey, Ball State played Notre Dame tight.
