Looking Ahead at Future Notre Dame Football Schedules
Miami
Notre Dame won’t face the Hurricanes again until 2024 at home. The Irish will travel to Miami the following year in 2025 before another home matchup in 2028.
The Irish hold a 17-8-1 series record vs Miami, with the most recent matchup in 2017 being a 41-8 loss in Miami Gardens. Since that loss, however, the Irish are 14-2 with an undefeated season and CFP berth, while Miami is 8-9 with back-to-back bowl losses.
Florida State
While Notre Dame and FSU haven’t played each other often throughout history — just nine total matchups — when they do meet, it generally makes for a great game of football.
The “Game of the Century” in 1993 and the controversial 31-27 loss in Tallahassee in 2014 alone makes this a fun little rivalry, and six of the nine meetings between the two schools have been decided by less than seven points.
Notre Dame’s future schedules include trips to Tallahassee in 2021 and 2026 and home games 2024 and 2029. If the Seminoles don’t run head coach Willie Taggart out of town by 2021, that matchup has the potential to be a primetime game between two highly ranked opponents.
