Alohi Gilman

Gilman was everything you wanted in a safety for the Irish in 2018. His football IQ was apparent in every game, and his heads-up, playmaking ability saved Notre Dame’s College Football Playoff run on more than one occasion. In 2019, he’ll be the leader of the secondary and the safety net for a group of talented defensive backs who are assuming new roles. With the turnover and lack of depth at linebacker, we may also see Gilman helping out against the run a little more this season.
