Julian Love’s departure means Troy Pride Jr. is the top corner on Notre Dame’s depth chart. The speed an athleticism have always been there in order for Pride to be THE shutdown corner for the Irish. Now the time has come to assume the role, and he’ll be facing some solid passing attacks in 2019. It is imperative that Pride have success and establish a dominant presence immediately in order to limit the way subsequent opponents attack the Irish in the passing game.
