Asmar Bilal

The Irish lost a ton of leadership and playmaking ability at the linebacker position with the departures of Tevon Coney and Drue Tranquill. Bilal returns as the most athletic and experienced of the linebacker/rover group. He’ll be counted on to quarterback the defense at times and clean up anything that gets past the first level. If the Irish were to lose him, there’s not another player on the roster in 2019 who can do what he does athletically at the position. If he stays healthy, he’ll likely lead the team in tackles.
