Tony Jones

For the second-consecutive season, the Irish have watched a home-run hitter walk out the door at the running back spot. Right now, it appears Jones and Jafar Armstrong will combine to fill the void — much like they did early on in 2018. That said, Jones is the better runner between the tackles. He’s the guy Notre Dame is going to want to lean on to get the tough yards in crunch time and close out close games where the Irish are leading late. Losing Jones would significantly alter Notre Dame’s offensive approach.
