Notre Dame will be  underdogs in two of their three biggest games in 2019.

We here at Slap the Sign love a little betting action when it comes to our Notre Dame games, and with the Supreme Court legalizing sports betting last year — why not?

Recently, BetOnline.ag released opening lines for a handful of college football games in the upcoming 2019 season. Three of those games involved Notre Dame.

When the Irish travel to Georgia on September 21st, they will open as 11.5-point underdogs. This seems a little high, however, I’m not surprised, given what Georgia returns and what Notre Dame lost. Perception is all we have until the two teams actually meet at kickoff.

The same can be said for the Notre Dame-Michigan game on October 26th. The Wolverines are 8.5-point favorites in that one. Michigan lost some big names on defense, but the core of a solid team returns — and the game is in The Big House. The Wolverines will be looking for revenge after last year’s loss at Notre Dame Stadium.

On October 12th, Notre Dame will host Southern Cal. It will be the Irish who are 11.5-point favorites in that one. Given some of the issues and drama on and off the field at USC, that spread doesn’t surprise me. But as we saw last season, the spread in that contest means next to nothing.

For now, place your bets wisely, and we will have more spreads for you as they trickle down from various websites and sports books. Go Irish!
