Jack Lamb: He might not of played in the Blue & Gold game do to an ankle issue, but the practice reports during spring ball were glowing for the red-shirt freshman. Essentially a first-year player after a sitting out his first year with a myriad of injuries, Lamb doesn’t yet have the size of the traditional BUCK or MIKE linebacker. However, what he lacks in current size he makes up for with length, athleticism and natural instincts. From all reports, he is the leading candidate to win the BUCK linebacker position in place of Tranquill, and he should remain the starter for the foreseeable future.
