When it came to choosing the Slappy Awards winner for Best Male Athlete, there was little debate — no one was better than Miles Boykin.

With the size, frame and athleticism that Miles Boykin possesses, he was bound to be a star at Notre Dame.

To lead a College Football Playoff team in one receiving category is great, but to lead the team in all receiving categories?

That is special.

Boykin did it all for the Irish this past year, hence why he decided to put his name into the NFL Draft. Before the combine, no one was really sure where Boykin would be drafted. He has the frame and speed to become a solid NFL receiver, but could he show it at the combine?

The answer was a resounding YES.

Boykin had one of the best NFL Combine’s we have seen from a Notre Dame player maybe ever.

In the 40-yard dash, Boykin wowed everyone by running a 4.42. That is simply not normal for a guy that stands at 6’4, 228 lbs. Boykin’s 40-yard dash was so good that a video of his Notre Dame teammates celebrating his insane time in the locker room went viral on social media.

Boykin finished his combine among the top three wide receivers in the 3-cone drill, vertical jump, broad jump and 20-yard shuttle. Boykin’s 40 time ranked him ninth among the 37 wide receivers to run on Saturday.

It will be interesting to see where Boykin ends up being drafted, as his draft stock rose dramatically after the combine. Initially slated as a late-round pick, Boykin may have moved himself into the 3rd-4th round by impressing at the combine.
