The Notre Dame women’s basketball team was up three points with just under a minute to play against rival UConn in the Final Four. With roughly 49 seconds left on the clock, UConn’s Napheesa Collier took a shot under the basket that would have put the Huskies within one point of catching the Irish. However, Brianna Turner came up big for the Irish by stuffing Collier. The play was pivotal in sealing the win for the Irish—a win that knocked off UConn for the second consecutive year in the Final Four and secured Notre Dame’s spot in the championship game for the second consecutive year.
