Winning back-to-back conference championships is no easy task, but the Notre Dame hockey team was able to do just that, despite facing challenges throughout the season.

The Irish faced the Penn State Nittany Lions to defend their B1G title.

Early on, the game looked as if it was going to be a high-scoring affair, with both team tallying two goals apiece in the opening period. However, the Irish got a goal from Cam Morrison early in the second period, and that proved to be the game-winner as Notre Dame was able to hold on for the victory down the stretch, propelling them to a fourth-straight tournament berth.
