After winning four straight games to clinch their second Big Ten title in as many years, the Notre Dame hockey team punched their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.

The Irish headed to New Hampshire to take on Clarkson in the first round of the tournament. Like most games in the NCAA Tournament, this one was tightly contested.

Notre Dame trailed for most of the game and found themselves down 2-1 with less than three minutes left in regulation. A late goal from Bobby Nardella meant the teams were heading to sudden-death overtime.

In that overtime period, Cam Morrison was the hero for the Irish. After nearly 16 minutes of play in overtime, the junior forward netted a game-winning goal to send Notre Dame to the next round.

There are few things in sports that can match the excitement of an overtime goal in the hockey post-season.
