Another South Bend team coming off a National Championship, Gia Kvaratskhelia once again showed that he’s a great coach. In his third season, Gia improved his overall career record to 131-11.

The team won the Elite, St. John’s and Philadelphia Invitationals, as well as the Decicco and Northwestern Duels.

Both the men’s and women’s team also won the ACC Championships, but finished 3rd in the NCAA Championships with 165 points.

By the end of the season, there were “Fencer of the Year” awards all around.

Stephen Ewart and Amanda Sirico captured the Men’s and Women’s Eppe, Nick Itkin and Amira Berthier won the Men’s and Women’s Foil, and Malcolm Fields and Kara Linder won the Men’s and Women’s Sabre.

Kvaratskhelia also won the ACC Men’s and Women’s Coach of the Year.
