The College Football Hall of Fame ballots for the Class of 2020 were sent out this week. Two former Notre Dame football players received votes.

The National Football Foundation sent out the annual College Football Hall of Fame ballots to its members earlier this week. Two former Notre Dame football players — Todd Lyght and Aaron Tayor — were on the ballot for the Class of 2020.

As a member of the National Football Foundation, I voted for both of them.

Lyght played cornerback for the Irish from 1987 through 1990. He was a two-time consensus All-American in 1989 and 1990. He went on to play for the Rams and Lions in the NFL, winning himself a Super Bowl ring with the Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV.

He is currently the defensive backs coach for your Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Taylor played at Notre Dame from 1990 to 1993. He was a two-time consensus All-American in 1992 and 1993, winning the Lombardi Award as the nation’s top football player in 1993.

He spent six season in the NFL — four with Green Bay and two with the Chargers. He is now a college football analyst for CBS Sports.

The rest of the players and coaches on my ballot 2020 College Football Hall of Fame ballot were:
