Overall Record: 95-17-4

Win Percentage – .836

Consensus All-Americans (ND Only) – 21

National Titles – 3

NFL Draft Picks – 79

Length of Tenure – 11 Seasons

Ara definitely knew what he was doing when it came to his players. He came in at number one in both, Consensus All-Americans (21) and NFL Draft picks (79). Not to mention, he also won three national titles during his time at Notre Dame. As stated by ncaa.com, these titles came in 1964, 1966, and 1973.

His number of All-Americans is magnificent when you think about it, because it is the same number as Frank Leahy (15) and Brian Kelly (6) combined. He also has over double the amount of NFL draft picks that Kelly (39) has.

While he did have the third highest win percentage out of the coaches listed, he still won over 80 percent of his games at Notre Dame, which is extremely impressive.

Parseghian’s average rank was 2.2, which earned him the number two spot on the list, and some might even argue for number one.
