Notre Dame Football: Shamrock Series Uniform Rankings, 2019 Edition
By Jack Leniart
No. 1: 2013 vs. Arizona State (AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX)
Hand up. I’m a sucker for white uniforms. These beauties were fresh and clean enough to impress Outkast.
In the final year of their deal with Notre Dame, Adidas did not fail to deliver. The Shamrock Series had started building some momentum, and these uniforms helped propel it forward.
It is possible that Adidas took the name of the series a bit too literally in 2013 because these uniforms definitely put the “shamrock” in the Shamrock Series.
The shamrock logo is featured in five different places: the left hip of the pants, both shoulders, and both sides of the helmet. That being said, it did not feel like it was overdone at all.
All the shamrock logos were gold with green outlines. The numbers on the jerseys shared the same style and really popped.
The uniforms also featured other green accents such as the facemask and belt. The players wore green undershirts, gloves, and shoes to tie it all together. The white, gold, and green all mixed perfectly.
