Notre Dame Football: Madden NFL 20 ratings for former Irish Players
By J.P. Scott
Here’s how your favorite former Notre Dame football players are rated in Madden NFL 20.
It’s Madden season! The individual player ratings for all NFL players have been released. This is a huge day for many — including Notre Dame football fans. The Irish have a few dozen players in the game. Here are the top ten former Notre Dame players according to their overall Madden ratings in the upcoming Madden NFL 20 video game:
Zack Martin, Guard, Dallas Cowboys: 96
Harrison Smith, Strong Safety, Minnesota Vikings: 94
Tyler Eifert, Tight End, Cincinnati Bengals: 88
Quenton Nelson, Guard, Indianapolis Colts: 87
Golden Tate, Wide Receiver, New York Giants: 85
Kyle Rudolph, Tight End, Minnesota Vikings: 85
Jaylon Smith, Middle Linebacker, Dallas Cowboys: 85
Ronnie Stanley, Left Tackle, Baltimore Ravens: 85
Stephon Tuitt, Defensive End, Pittsburgh Steelers: 85
Mike McGlinchey, Right Tackle, San Francisco 49ers: 83
One thing that pops off that list immediately is Tyler Eifert’s 88 rating. That seems a bit high, considering that Kyle Rudolph only got an 85. Eifert’s injury/availability over the last couple of seasons apparently weren’t taken into consideration. If he stays healthy, perhaps he merits that rating. As it stands, he is tied for the sixth-highest rating at tight end in Madden NFL 20. Rudolph is tied with three others at No. 12.
Zack Martin is the highest rated right guard in the game and tied for 13th-highest overall player. Quenton Nelson is tied for the second-highest rated left guard in the game — an amazing feat for a second-year player.
Jaylon Smith is tied for the sixth-highest middle linebacker rating, while Harrison Smith is the top-rated strong safety overall.
The Madden NFL 20 game will officially go on sale on August 2nd and will retail for $59.
