4. John Jordan (1951 – 1964)

Overall Record: 199-131

Win Percentage: .603

Conference Titles: 0

All-Americans: 1

NCAA Tournament Appearances: 6

Regular Season Titles: 0

John Jordan had quite a bit longer of a career at Notre Dame compared to Johnny Dee (six seasons longer). With the longer career at Notre Dame, Jordan was one win shy of the 200 mark. Along with that, he was able to finish with a little bit higher than Dee (.11 higher) with a .603 win percentage.

Another thing that helped Jordan get the edge over Dee was his two extra — six total, compared to Dee’s four — NCAA Tournament Appearances. During these six tournament appearances, he led his teams to an 8-6 record overall.

While Jordan was higher than Dee, something that also didn’t help his case was the fact that he didn’t have anything for “Regular Season Titles” and “Conference Titles” categories. He was also a part of a four-way tie for the number two spot, which again is due to Notre Dame not joining a conference until later on.

Composite Score: 2.8
