From one rivalry to the next, Notre Dame football now turns its attention to Michigan.

The recently renewed rivalry has shifted from South Bend last year to Ann Arbor for a matchup under the lights. Primetime, just the way Notre Dame football vs. Michigan should be.

Notre Dame so far has done what they needed to following the loss vs. Georgia in week three. The question is whether it will be enough to get themselves back to the College Football Playoff.

Coming off of a victory over USC, the Irish are sitting at 5-1, but a 30-27 win over the Trojans was a bit too close for comfort. The positive is that Notre Dame did finish the job, and for most of the game had all control.

Michigan — who’s coming off of a hard to swallow loss to Penn State — also has enough positives to create some energy heading into the weekend.

The second loss of the season derails a lot of post-season hopes for the Wolverines, but they displayed that they had what was needed to play alongside a top-ten team. That in itself should give Michigan enough momentum to carry into this matchup and possibly give the Irish a bit too much to handle.

It’s safe to say that the energy and atmosphere will be strong enough to make things interesting.

One of the biggest factors that will favor the Irish is the bye week. Notre Dame has had the opportunity to prepare for Michigan for an extra week while recovering from injuries and hopefully coming back at full strength with the addition of Jafar Armstrong.

Either way, we are in for a great one and postseason implications are on the line as we get ready with three bold predictions for Notre Dame vs. Michigan.
