Notre Dame is shaping into the team that we all expected them to be early on in the season.

While it might be coming too late for the College Football Playoff, there is still a lot to play for to make this a successful season. A 10-2 season with the possibility to make a New Year’s Six bowl is plenty to hang your hat on if you’re Notre Dame.

The only thing standing in the way of that vision is Boston College and Stanford.

Notre Dame is in shape coming off of three straight wins, with the last two being the most solid performances we have seen in the 2019 season. Duke and Navy might now have been the best opponents Notre Dame has had to deal with, but they provide two vastly different challenges.

The Irish were completely up the task as from the kick-off to the final whistle, as they controlled both games.

Boston College comes in just as most of Notre Dame’s opponents have, off of a bye week. An extra week of rest and preparation are the benefits that the Eagles will have ahead of their matchup with the Irish.

Could that be exactly what BC needs to pull off the upset? With us being at the tail end of the long college football season, there is no better time for a bye week. Is that enough time to do what’s needed?

The Irish might be playing the best football they have all year, but we also must look at the fact that this is also Senior Day for the Irish. The emotions that come with this game sometimes can be overwhelming and create a slow start for teams.

In all likelihood, Notre Dame has the talent and momentum needed to put this game away. Yet, anything can happen in college football.

Here are three bold predictions for Notre Dame vs. Boston College.
