Book goes for 350+ total yards

The Ian Book we have all been waiting for as arrived. Book has unleashed the deep ball and when tested on his legs, has been impressive.

There is no denying it, Book has turned into a game-changer. Just when his season and even possibly career were on the brink of collapse, he put the team on his shoulders and hasn’t looked back.

Through the last three games, we’ve seen everything we have wanted to see out of the Irish quarterback. With 391, 320 and 315 total yard stat lines over the last three games, it’s hard to see who could possibly slow him down.

While the answer is most likely out there, but the one thing that’s for certain is that it’s not Boston College.

The Eagles defense absolutely does not line up well to stop a player like Book. It is highly likely that the secondary will be burned all game long.

When you look at Notre Dame’s weapons that Book can utilize through the air — Chase Claypool, Chris Finke and Cole Kmet just to name a few — it’s hard to see how BC could keep up.

This is a team whose last game saw James Blackman throw for 346 yards on their secondary.

Not only will Book have what is needed to continually dominate the secondary, but his running performance has also been impressive. It will be difficult for Boston College to find a way to stop Book’s arm and account for any time he might decide to take off for the edge.

The Eagles defense has been less than impressive this season, giving up 32 points per game. Notre Dame, on the other hand, has been impressive on the offensive end, averaging 36 ppg.

Boston College might have an extra week to prepare for Notre Dame’s offense, but that likely won’t be enough time, as they are catching the Irish and Book at the wrong time.
