SOUTH BEND, INDIANA – NOVEMBER 16: Chase Claypool #83 and Ian Book #12 of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish celebrate after scoring a touchdown in the first quarter against the Navy Midshipmen at Notre Dame Stadium on November 16, 2019 in South Bend, Indiana. (Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images) /

After a dominating performance against Navy, 8-2 Notre Dame moves on to face Boston College on Senior Day at home.

If you had Notre Dame beating Navy by over 30 points, well, you’re a liar.

Notre Dame dominated the game from the start and defeated a solid Navy team soundly by a score of 52-20 on the back of very strong performances from Chase Claypool, Ian Book and Khalid Kareem.

Now, let’s break down today’s matchup and get you all the information you need before kickoff against Boston College.

Kickoff: 2:30 pm EST

Channel: NBC

Location: Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, Indiana

Line: Notre Dame -20

Weather: At kickoff, it will be 42 degrees with 67 percent humidity. The forecast shows the chance of rain at 10 percent, with winds coming out of the SW at 6 mph.

Series history: Notre Dame leads 14-9

Top storylines:

  • Can Notre Dame stop BC’s run game? That will be the question on everyone’s mind heading into the 25th meeting of the ‘Holy War’. BC boasts a very good running back in AJ Dillon who has proven he can run around you, through you, over you, all of the above. Dillon is a beast. He is also helped by the new and improved Boston College O-line that has opened up massive holes for him all year long. Notre Dame’s defensive line is beaten up and it could be a battle in the trenches if ND allows it to be. The Irish have the better talent, but the emotions Senior Day provides can be unpredictable and BC will want nothing more than to spoil a Notre Dame Senior Day (again).
  • Is this the new Ian Book? After stringing together a few solid performances in a row, Ian Book looks to be more settled and confident. BC is very beatable over the top, as it has a not-so-good secondary. If Book continues to play as he has of late, it could be a boat race.

Injury report:

  • Notre Dame junior WR Javon McKinley missed the game against Navy with a foot injury. He is expected to play.
  • Notre Dame sophomore WR Joe Wilkins missed the game against Navy with a hamstring injury and is listed as questionable.
  • Notre Dame sophomore LB Shayne Simon suffered a dislocated kneecap against Navy and will miss the rest of the season.
