Top storylines:
- Can Notre Dame stop BC’s run game? That will be the question on everyone’s mind heading into the 25th meeting of the ‘Holy War’. BC boasts a very good running back in AJ Dillon who has proven he can run around you, through you, over you, all of the above. Dillon is a beast. He is also helped by the new and improved Boston College O-line that has opened up massive holes for him all year long. Notre Dame’s defensive line is beaten up and it could be a battle in the trenches if ND allows it to be. The Irish have the better talent, but the emotions Senior Day provides can be unpredictable and BC will want nothing more than to spoil a Notre Dame Senior Day (again).
- Is this the new Ian Book? After stringing together a few solid performances in a row, Ian Book looks to be more settled and confident. BC is very beatable over the top, as it has a not-so-good secondary. If Book continues to play as he has of late, it could be a boat race.
Injury report:
- Notre Dame junior WR Javon McKinley missed the game against Navy with a foot injury. He is expected to play.
- Notre Dame sophomore WR Joe Wilkins missed the game against Navy with a hamstring injury and is listed as questionable.
- Notre Dame sophomore LB Shayne Simon suffered a dislocated kneecap against Navy and will miss the rest of the season.
