Key Offensive Player for Boston College: AJ Dillon, RB

Was there ever any doubt? Boston College’s entire offense is centered around Dillon and his ability to move the ball on the ground. The All-American has solidified himself as one of the better RBs in the country and isn’t looking like stopping now.

On the season, Dillon has tallied over 270 carries for 1,451 yards and 13 TDs. Those are some remarkable numbers. Compare that to Notre Dame’s lead running back, Tony Jones Jr., and you see how crazy those stats are. Jones has racked up 611 yards on 104 carries and just 5 TDs. Of course the offensive styles are different, but still. Wow.

The ND defense will have to come in with a game plan to stop Dillon.

Key Offensive Player for Notre Dame: Braden Lenzy, WR

When you think of who could break this game wide-open for ND, you think of the sophomore WR Braden Lenzy. In the chances he’s had this season, Lenzy has blown past corners and put his blazing speed on display.

Lenzy’s 70-yard TD last weekend proved just how dangerous he can be with the ball in hands. He now has a few long touchdowns on the season and may have proven himself to OC Chip Long. If Long starts to involve Lenzy more in the offense in the next three games — watch out.

Expect Lenzy to continue his great form and have a big play or two today against BC.
