Notre Dame enters their last regular-season game in hopes to do something that hasn’t been done since 2007.

Over the last decade, there has been one hump that the Irish just haven’t seemed to get over. This year that streak looks as if it will come to an end if everything goes to plan.

The streak the Irish are looking to end is that of not winning at Stanford since 2007. While the overall series favors the Irish 19-13, the last decade has not been so kind to Notre Dame.

Stanford has flipped the script, winning seven of the last ten games versus the Irish. Of course last year the Irish were able to come away with the victory, but that game was played in South Bend.

If there was a season for Notre Dame to win at Stanford, it would be now. The Cardinal have struggled this season and have failed to meet all preseason expectations.

Coming in ranked at 23rd in the AP poll after week one, everything snowballed from there. Currently standing at 4-7 on the season, not many saw the struggles that would eventually occur. Stanford has lost its last three games with the last one maybe being the hardest.

The rivalry game against California went down to the wire, as Stanford would fall to a come from behind victory in the last couple minutes of the game.

Now the scripts are vastly different for both teams. Stanford is no longer bowl eligible and will play their final game of the season this Saturday.

As for the Irish, they are playing in hopes to lock up a solid bowl game and keep this season at a respectfully successful mark while reaching their tenth win of the season.

For the last time of the regular season, here are your three bold predictions for Notre Dame vs. Stanford.
