The NFL playoff race is heating up, and some Notre Dame players are right in the middle of it.

As the NFL season barrels toward to the finish line, the playoff race is heating up. There are plenty of games with big time playoff implications this weekend. A couple of them feature former Notre Dame players in prominent roles.

Here are some key NFL games tomorrow where former Irish players could be difference makers.

Titans vs. Colts

This one is to stay in the hunt for the AFC South division title. Former Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson leads a Colts offensive line that must protect quarterback Jacoby Brissett and keep opening holes and moving the chains in the run game to have a chance.

49ers vs. Ravens

This could potentially be a Super Bowl preview. Two of the better offensive tackles in recent Notre Dame history will be featured in the one. Ronnie Stanley is a big part of the Ravens offensive line, protecting and opening holes for NFL MVP front-runner Lamar Jackson.

After missing time to injury, Mike McGlinchey has returned to fulfill his duty of protecting Jimmy Garopollo.

Additionally, Miles Boykin has shown flashes of greatness and an ability to be a serious red zone threat in the Baltimore offense. He could prove to be a safety net for Jackson under duress against a fierce 49ers defensive front.

Vikings vs. Seahawks

Monday Night Football will showcase two division leaders when the Seahawks host the Vikings. Tight end Kyle Rudolph has been on fire as of late and has made the Vikings offense more dangerous.

Safety Harrison Smith will be tasked with playing chess against Russell Wilson and limiting the star quarterback’s overall effectiveness.
