Buffalo Bills would be a great fit for Chase Claypool

It won’ be long until NFL Draft combine and scouting season is here. Chase Claypool is going to get some attention.

Earlier this week, I published an article about Chase Claypool being mentioned as a first round pick and ending up with the Buffalo Bills. Sure, it was just one guy’s opinion, but after further review, I’m not sure there would be a better destination or situation for the Notre Dame receiver.

The Bills are set on defense for a while, projected to have one of the better units in the league for the next couple of years.

On offense, they have almost all of the pieces in place. They have their franchise quarterback in Josh Allen. They have a solid offensive line. And they a young, talented running back in Devin Singletary.

What they don’t have is a big-bodied No. 1 receiver.

Chase Claypool can be that guy.

Allen is not the most accurate passer on intermediate routes. Claypool’s size and wingspan would help with that, as Allen could simply toss it his way and hope his receiver can get to it. It’s a huge luxury for an NFL quarterback.

Additionally, Allen has a cannon for an arm and loves to toss it deep. Claypool has freakish speed for a guy his size, and you can bet that he would be utilized as a deep threat frequently.

The bottom line: Chase Claypool is going to find a home on an NFL roster. It would be nice for him to land in a situation where he would have a key role in an offense. It would also be nice to end up with a team that looks like they could be contenders in the near future.

The Buffalo Bills appear to have everything in place to be a perfect fit for Chase Claypool in that regard.
