The 2020 class is likely complete barring a February signing that isn’t expected at this time, and it is another really solid class for the Notre Dame program and Head Coach Brian Kelly.

Carlee North, Mason Plummer, Corbin Whitney and myself teamed up to rank the 2020 Notre Dame signees from 1 to 18. Each of us made our own ranking and then we simply averaged the four rankings to complete a Slap the Sign 2020 rankings list.

With an elite offensive group in place and some top notch defensive playmakers, it was tough to establish a perfect list — but I think the averages equal out to a pretty solid understanding of each recruits potential.

Each of our top sevens were comprised of the same seven players, but simply in different orders — so it is safe to assume that those seven signees signal the top tier of Notre Dame’s 2020 class. We had 3 players ranked in the exact same spot across the board — Wide Receiver Xavier Watts, Quarterback Drew Pyne and Longsnapper Alex Peitsch.

The largest discrepancy in our rankings was 8 spots. All in and all, after the first 7 athletes, I think it is fair to say the remaining 10 guys — not including Peitsch — can be interchanged based on opinion, and you’ll see that in our rankings.

Here is how the numbers breakdown: Notre Dame signed 9 offensive players, 8 defensive players and one special teamer.

Out of the 9 offensive guys, there is 1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WRs, 2 TEs and 2 OL.

On the defensive side of the ball there is 4 DL and 4 DBs. Combining the 247 rankings with Rivals, there are 2 five stars, 10 four stars and 6 three stars.
