Khalid Kareem (2016-2019)

Part of the same elite defensive line class Notre Dame brought in 2016, Kareem and Okwara will always be linked together. While Okwara is the more twitchy athlete, Kareem is no slouch in his own right. He can win with power, speed and is tremendous against the run and is as technically sound as they come.

Throughout his career, he accumulated 13 sacks and 26 tackles for loss. While his numbers weren’t eye popping, he is another case where the film doesn’t lie. Part of it is the amount of talent Notre Dame had, therefore, stats were spread around and part of it was being asked to do numerous things.

Most in the industry don’t peg Kareem as highly as Okwara, but he almost always settles in the top 100 prospects somewhere. The highest ranking I’ve seen is No. 39 by Dane Brugler of the Athletic, and from all accounts, Brugler absolutely loves Kareem as a prospect, as he speaks incredibly highly of him. If it weren’t for Chase Claypool’s senior season at wideout, Kareem would have likely won Team MVP. Some NFL team is going to be stoked to get their hands on Kareem on Day 2 or early Day 3.
