Pat Eilers was a member of the 1988 Notre Dame football program that won a National Championship. Eilers would play wide receiver for the Irish from 1988-1989 and would end his collegiate career with 11 receptions for 119 yards and one touchdown.
Following his career at Notre Dame, Eilers would convert from wide receiver to safety and would be signed as an undrafted free agent in 1990 by the Minnesota Vikings. He would play for the Vikings from 1990-1991. Following his tenure with Minnesota, Eilers would play for the Washington Redskins (1992-1994) and Chicago Bears (1995).
In his six-year career in the National Football League, Eilers would record 34 tackles and seven fumble recoveries in 61 career games.
