Pat Walsh is one of the greatest lacrosse players in Notre Dame history. He was a member of the team from 2002-2006 and started 52 games during his tenure with the Irish. When his career with the Irish was completed, he would be second all-time in school history in points with 192 and assists with 108.
Walsh would be a three-time All-American (2003-2005), a four-time All-GWLL first-team member (2002-2006) and was named a two-time Tewaarton Award winner (2004 & 2005), the award that is given to the nation’s most outstanding collegiate lacrosse player.
Following his career at Notre Dame, Walsh would go on to be selected in the 2006 Major League Lacrosse Draft by the Long Island Lizards with the 34th overall selection in the draft. He would play two seasons with the Lizards (2007-2008) and one with the San Francisco Dragons (2009) scoring one goal and registering two assists in three career games in the MLL.
