2021 recruiting is in a state of limbo right now with the COVID-19 pandemic but it’s never a bad time to discuss a potential class for Notre Dame football.

Dream class is a strong word, and in reality, due to other factors outside of the Notre Dame football team’s control – landing the ultimate dream class is essentially impossible. However, there is a realistic dream that the staff sets out to land every year, and the 2021 cycle is as good as a start to any in the Brian Kelly era.

With already 6 pledges in the class and 5 of them being ranked as top 200 recruits, it is easy to get excited for what this class can become. The coaching staff has landed their top target at quarterback, one of their top wide receiver targets, two of the best interior line prospects in the country – one on each side of the ball – and arguably their top target at tight end.

How can a realistic dream class be achieved? It will be tough, but with Kelly’s bold comments on the Notre Dame football team’s ability to land a top-5 class, I thought it would be fun to take a look at what that kind of class could look like.

Today, I discuss the offense and tomorrow I will get into the defense. The offense, in particular, is off to a roaring start, but there are a few targets that could really push this class into elite territory.

The players below all hold an offer from Notre Dame, and for the most part, seem to be the staff’s top targets at their respective positions and not my own. With that said, it’s hard to argue with the players on top of Notre Dame’s board.
