The Notre Dame recruiting efforts have been ratcheted up the past few days, with a number of new recruiting targets receiving offers recently.

The Notre Dame recruiting staff have been doing their part finding some prospects during this coronavirus shutdown. After Wednesday’s day of “defensive” offers, there was a ton of new offensive targets who received offers from the Irish over the past 24-hours.

With top offensive line target Landon Tengwall picking Penn State over Notre Dame Thursday afternoon, the staff didn’t waste any time trying to find potential replacement recruits for their offensive line, with a few of those new offers going out to some really solid OL prospects.

This is definitely something that was fully expected to happen after missing out on the Maryland native as the Notre Dame recruiting staff was forced to move on from Tengwall, which they are certainly doing.

When examining these new offers it’s pretty telling the reasoning behind the Notre Dame recruiting team making offers to a number of new wide receiver and offensive line recruits. Losing a big commitment from wide receiver Deion Colzie earlier this week and also missing out on a huge target on the offensive line in Tengwall is absolutely the reason for a lot of these offers.

Expanding the board is something the staff should have done earlier but I do like several of these targets for Notre Dame and their chances of really making an impact and landing them.
