No. 2 – Amon-ra St. Brown – Junior -Southern California

Amon-ra St. Brown is the second and best of two Trojan Wide Receivers to appear on this list. In his third year as a USC player, St. Brown hopes to place his name among the nation’s elite pass catchers.

With multiple years of playing second fiddle to other Trojan players, St. Brown rises to the top of the depth chart this season. Although his numbers were lower than some of his teammates, St. Brown’s production was not lackluster. In 2018, he caught 60 passes for 750 yards and 3 touchdowns. Last year, St. Brown tallied 1,042 yards on 77 receptions and 7 touchdowns. These numbers failed to make a tremendous splash. This is simply a demonstration of expectations for a 5-star recruit.

St. Brown may see a huge spike in production during the 2020 season – simply due to more down field targets. Pro Football Focus ranked him No. 23 and wrote:

"Amon-Ra St. Brown was hardly used as a deep threat in his sophomore season, but the results from his limited usage show that he probably should be used more in that facet. The USC wideout hauled in nine of his 14 targets 20-plus yards downfield for 376 yards and five touchdowns. Not to mention, he caught five of his six contested targets on those deep passes."

Of any Wide Receiver on this list, St. Brown possesses the most upside. He is extremely fast. St. Brown runs quick and fluid routes. He ball skills are tremendous. His 5-star talent will shine in 2020.
