Notre Dame football commitment Tyler Buchner is competing among the nation’s best high school quarterbacks in the 2021 recruiting class.

Tyler Buchner who is considered the gem of Notre Dame Football’s 2021 Recruiting Class is set to participate in the 22nd annual Elite 11 Finals. For those of you that aren’t familiar with the Elite 11 it is an event for the top quarterbacks in the country to show off how “elite” they really are. The Elite 11 Finals will take place from June 29 – July 1 and will be hosted in Nashville, Tennessee. Buchner will have the chance to prove that his is truly a game changer here among the best quarterbacks in the country in the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Buchner — who is a five-star recruit, according to the 247Sports composite rankings — will compete alongside four other five-star quarterbacks and 16 others. The class of 2021 is loaded when it comes to quarterback talent so this really is a chance for Buchner to show that he is the best of the best.

This year will be slightly different from every other year due to COVID-19. Usually, it is much more open to the public; however, due to the virus this year it is still open to the media, but everyone must be quarantined prior to attending the event. The event consists of a lot of throwing drills and 7 on 7 play, as well, to give the players a chance to throw in more of a “game” type of environment.

Other names to keep an eye on when it comes to earning the Elite 11 MVP award are: Caleb Williams, Brock Vandagriff (Georgia Commit), J.J. McCarthy (Michigan Commit), Kyle McCord (Ohio State Commit), Miller Moss/Jake Garcia (Both USC Commits), and Drake Maye (UNC Commit).

As I mentioned before the class of 2021 is loaded when it comes to quarterback talent, so this won’t be an easy task for Buchner, but surely it will be a chance to show he belongs with the best nonetheless. Stay on the lookout for an article to be posted later in the week, summarizing Buchner’s performance at the Elite 11 Finals.
