14. Robert Hainsey (Offensive Tackle)

Best Ranking: 12

Worst Ranking: 18

Robert Hainsey was a four-star prospect out of the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and a member of Notre Dame’s 2017 recruiting class.

As a true freshman in 2017, Hainsey appeared in all 13 games for the Irish and was a part of an offensive line that won the Joe Moore Award. That line featured a pair of top-10 NFL draft picks on the left side in Quenton Nelson and Mike McGlinchey. The unit helped Notre Dame average 6.3 yards per carry (third best in the FBS) and break the school record for rushing yards in a single season (3,503 yards).

Hainsey earned the starting job at right tackle the following season and has not looked back. He started all 13 games for Notre Dame during their undefeated 2018 season.

In 2019, Hainsey was named a team captain, and he lived up to the responsibility that comes with that title. He did not allow a sack in 423 consecutive snaps at right tackle. Unfortunately, his season was cut short due to an ankle injury.

Despite the fact that he only played in eight games in 2019, Hainsey still won the team award for Lineman of the Year in 2019.

Hainsey will once again serve as a team captain in 2020, and he will hopefully continue to build on his streak of consecutive snaps without conceding a sack.
