9. Tommy Tremble (Tight End)

Best Ranking: 5

Worst Ranking: 22

Tommy Tremble was a three-star prospect out of Norcross, Georgia and a member of Notre Dame’s 2018 recruiting class. Some fans tend to dismiss three-star players so allow me to emphasize that Tommy Tremble is NOT your average three-star prospect.

Notre Dame likes to claim the title of “Tight End U,” and they have a solid argument in favor of that. Tremble has the potential to be the next great tight end in a long line of great tight ends.

As was expected, Tremble spent the 2018 season on Notre Dame’s scout team and took a redshirt that year.

Entering the 2019 season, Tremble was not expected to get much work behind the tandem of Cole Kmet and Brock Wright. However, he debunked those expectations in the first week of the season when he caught three passes and scored a touchdown against Louisville.

Tremble finished the 2019 season with 16 catches, 183 receiving yards, and four touchdowns. Not bad for a redshirt freshman playing at a school known for its talented tight ends.

Many expect Tremble to be one of quarterback Ian Book’s favorite targets in 2020. Tremble is technically listed behind Brock Wright on the tight end depth chart for week one. However, like last season, I expect the Irish to use multiple tight ends very frequently.
