The No. 2 Notre Dame Football team will look to keep their unbeaten streak alive Saturday, this time in a Holy War game against Boston College.

The Notre Dame football team is traveling to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts this weekend to take on the Boston College Eagles in a rivalry game that is nicknamed “The Holy War.”

The Notre Dame football team is now 7-0 and ranked second in the latest AP Poll. The Irish made the leap to number two following their upset win over previously top-ranked Clemson last weekend.

Notre Dame now finds themselves in the driver’s seat for a berth in the ACC Championship Game this December. Irish fans, however, are not yet convinced it will be a smooth ride. The first obstacle on the path to Charlotte is the Boston College Eagles.

The 2020 season for Notre Dame now bears some similarities to the 1993 season. In that season, the Irish defeated top-ranked Florida State and were then upset by Boston College the following week. Those parallels are enough to make the more superstitious Irish fans nervous heading into this weekend.

Fortunately for Notre Dame, a loss in one of their remaining four games would still result in them playing in the conference championship game at the end of the regular season. Regardless, Brian Kelly and his team would certainly prefer to just win out.

There will be a familiar face leading the Eagles’ offense this Saturday. Quarterback Phil Jurkovec, who spent two seasons at Notre Dame before transferring out, won the starting job at Boston College this offseason.

The former four-star recruit has had a solid start to the 2020 season. He currently has the most passing yards in the ACC and the sixth-most passing yards in the country. Jurkovec has accounted for 20 total touchdowns through eight games this season.

The betting line for this game currently has Notre Dame favored by 12 points. Here is how some of our writers think this game will play out.
