Notre Dame football: Offensive grades vs. Boston College

Offensive Line

Bigger, stronger, and faster than Boston College, the Notre Dame offensive line was expected to dominate and they didn’t disappoint. Book spent the afternoon with a clean pocket, which he used to pick the Boston College secondary apart. On the ground, there were plenty of holes for the Notre Dame running backs to go through, and while they didn’t go for any long touchdown runs, there was always room to go for four or five yards a carry.

Over the entire game, Book was only pressured once. Most backup quarterbacks could dominate if they have all day to throw. That type of dominance by the offensive line is what allowed Book to thrive all day long.
