The No. 2 Notre Dame football team takes on No. 19 North Carolina in a huge ACC matchup with College Football Playoff ramifications.

For the Notre Dame football team to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive, they will have to take care of business on the road against a very good North Carolina team. This is a Tar Heels squad who can put up points in bunches, so the defense is going to have to make sure they can not only keep Sam Howell in check but also the running back tandem of Javonte Williams and Michael Carter.

Here are three bold predictions for Friday’s matchup.

Ben Skowronek hauls in two touchdowns

Ben Skowronek exploded in the Notre Dame victory against Boston College, hauling in three touchdowns in the 45-31 win. This season, Skowronek has caught touchdowns in only two of the Irish’s eight games, as he also had two touchdowns on the road against Pitt.

Friday, the Skowronek show hits the road once again, and he is in prime position to get not one, but two touchdowns. The Tar Heels defense is nothing to write home about, and if Ian Book gets rolling, you can be sure that Skowronek will be the main target all game long.
