The Notre Dame football team will play their final game of the regular season this Saturday. Here are the picks and predictions for the matchup.

In what may seem like an inconsequential game, Notre Dame football has huge opportunities this weekend.

The Irish have an opportunity to complete their third undefeated regular season in the last nine seasons. They also have an opportunity to solidify a fourth consecutive ten-win season, something that has never been accomplished in the history of Notre Dame football.

Ian Book has an opportunity to become the winningest starting quarterback in Notre Dame history, and Brian Kelly has an opportunity to become one game closer to becoming the winningest coach in Notre Dame history.

Last but certainly not least, it is an opportunity to honor the seniors on the football team who will be suiting up for their final game inside the glorious venue that is Notre Dame Stadium. Notre Dame is favored by nearly five touchdowns and should win this game comfortably, but Irish fans should make an effort to pause and appreciate the current state of the program.

Their opponent this weekend is a Syracuse team that is a shell of the ranked team that Notre Dame played in Yankee Stadium two seasons ago. The Orange lost their starting quarterback to injury earlier this season, and their best defensive player has opted out of the remainder of the season.

This season has been a disappointment for Syracuse, but the opportunity to play a football game in Notre Dame Stadium is enough to motivate even the most apathetic teams.

Here is how some of our writers think the game will play out.
