Syracuse Orange at Notre Dame Football: 3 bold predictions

Irish score on offense, defense, and special teams

We all know that Ian Book is going to navigate this offense to a few scores on Saturday, as the Orange have one of the worst defenses in the country. In addition to the offense, I actually like the Irish to find the end zone in other ways, including scoring on defense and getting some kind of big play in special teams.

Notre Dame has an opportunistic offense, and against a Syracuse offense that does not even have an answer at quarterback, they are going to find a way to get their hands on the ball. They have only one defensive touchdown this season and have not done much in terms of the return game when it comes to finding the end zone, but I believe that changes against the Orange.

The Irish need to dominate this game against the Orange, as they are currently ranked No. 2 in the College Football Playoff rankings, and cannot afford to slip down. This is a game that could get out of hand early, and Notre Dame wants nothing more than a clear victory, to stay healthy, and get ready for the ACC title game.
